San Juan Del Sur Update

Operation Smile will start its rollout medical program in February in Nicaragua. Dr. Bill Magee visited our Sister City of San Juan del Sur over Christmas and everyone is excited about the program.  The HOLA Learning Center at Hogar de Fe was visited by the U.S. Ambassador to Nicaragua in December. The Economic Summit hosted by the Mayor last fall has produced a lot of interest from the U.S. and Nicaraguan business people and trips and meetings are being planned for the spring. The teacher exchange from Cape Henry to the HOLA learning center last fall was a success and the internship program will have its first student going in June.
